Support Bolton’s Festive Giving: Donations for several Bolton Festive Appeals Needed
Support Bolton’s Festive Giving – how the Bolton Family Social Value Partnership can help!
The holiday season is a time for generosity, and this year, Bolton Family members are coming together to support a number of important local campaigns: the Urban Outreach Christmas Dinner on Jesus, the Bolton Lions Festive Toy Appeal and Backup NorthWest’s Mission Ho Ho Hope. We invite you to join us in making this holiday season special for those in need across Bolton.
Take a look at the campaigns below…
Christmas Dinner on Jesus – Urban Outreach
Every year, Urban Outreach provides Christmas dinners to families who might otherwise go without. The Christmas Dinner on Jesus campaign aims to bring warmth and comfort to Bolton families, ensuring everyone can enjoy a festive meal. We’re collecting donations across several member locations, so please feel free to drop off your contributions! Look out for our collection points with some of our member organisations including…
- The Food Hub (former Office Outlet Store) Trinity Retail Park
- Bolton GP Federation at the Hub
Every donation counts in helping us deliver food hampers filled with everything a family needs for a delicious Christmas dinner.
You can also sign up to support the team in sorting, packing and even delivering the hampers in the run up to Christmas – simply email admin@urbanoutreach.co.uk or call 01204385848 and let the team know what items you will be collecting from the list below.
- Shloer or supermarket equivalent (750ml)
- Cranberry Sauce (jars of 200g)
- Luxury Biscuits (packets not boxes)
- Crisps (sharing bag size)
Bolton Lions Festive Toy Appeal & Gift Card Challenge
This season, Bolton Lions are aiming to raise £15,000 to provide gift cards for children and teenagers, allowing families to choose gifts their children will cherish. You can contribute to this cause by donating directly to the Bolton Lions Christmas Appeal on JustGiving.
Our challenge to members and local businesses is to rally together and help us reach this target. Your support will bring joy to so many young people in our community, providing them with a festive season they’ll remember.
You can also donate new toys for younger children at the drop off point at ASDA Astley Bridge.
Backup North West Christmas Mission Ho Ho Hope
Team BACKUP want to ensure no children or young people are homeless, especially at Christmas. We want to provide life changing support, food to ensure they aren’t hungry, fuel to keep them warm, essentials and gifts for them to unwrap, for some – the only gift they may receive.
As we look ahead to the festive season, our mission is to spread some much needed happiness and hope to the homeless children and young people we support.
To join the mission, click here for ways you can be involved. The kindness and generosity of our supporters will make a massive difference and help us change lives of young people this Christmas.
Join Us in Making a Difference
By contributing to one (or all!) of these causes, you’ll be helping make Christmas a little brighter for families across Bolton as well as achieving several of our Social Value Pledges. Thank you for your generosity, Bolton – together, let’s spread hope and joy this festive season.
