Summer Volunteering Opportunities: Help Urban Outreach Feed Bolton’s Children!
Summer is upon us, and with it comes a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference in our community. From Monday 22nd July to Friday 30th August (excluding the bank holiday on 26th August), there are numerous volunteering opportunities available each weekday to ensure no child in Bolton goes hungry this summer.
Morning Sandwich and Lunch Bag Preparation
Every weekday, bright and early, enthusiastic volunteers are needed to help prepare sandwiches and lunch bags for distribution.
The doors open at 6.45am, giving you time to get ready and start making either sandwiches or lunch bags, typically finish by 8.30am, so it’s a great way to start your day with a positive impact!
Afternoon Setup for the Next Day
They’re also seeking 2 volunteers each day to assist with setting up for the following day’s activities, from 2-4pm. It’s a perfect opportunity for those who prefer a later volunteering time or want to contribute even more.
Packed Lunch Distribution at Libraries
In addition to food preparation, we need volunteers to assist with distributing packed lunches at Farnworth Library and Breightment Library. You will need to be at the library from 10.45am until 12.15pm. This role is subject to a reference and must be booked in advance.
